In the recent Interview Article Challenge, the live streamer Mie-TF won first place and therefore the the opportunity to be interviewed. She is a seasoned(/veteran) streamer with a long history of streaming on HiNative. We asked her to share some of her live streaming experiences.

ーーCongratulations on winning the Interview Article Challenge the other day! Could you please begin by introducing yourself?

Mie: Sure! My name is Mie, and my username here on HiNative is Mie-TF. I am a Japanese teacher, and I started streaming on HiNative because of this. I started streaming in mid-March last year, so it has been over a year now since.

ーーThank you! So, are you currently teaching Japanese?

Mie: Yes! I teach Japanese through private online lessons. Because of this, my schedule is quite flexible, so I stream when I’m free.

ーーThat’s nice! What kind of streams do you usually do?

Mie: Initially, I thought I had to decide on a theme to talk about during my streams. However, since the viewers who come to watch vary each time and the times they come are different, I realized that it's impossible to set a theme because everyone's interests are different.
