The HiNative Premium Service Terms of Use stipulates the articles pertaining to the use of the paid service called “HiNative Premium” provided by Lang-8, Inc. The HiNative Premium Service Terms of Use apply when using the paid service called “HiNative Premium”, so please be sure to read them before using this service.

Furthermore, as paid membership and agreement to both the HiNative Terms of Use and HiNative Premium Service Terms of Use are required to use the paid service called “HiNative Premium”, please read these before using this service.

1. Premium Service Terms of Use

1. The HiNative Premium Service Terms of Use (hereinafter “Premium Service Terms of Use”) stipulate the conditions of use for the paid service called “HiNative Premium” (hereinafter “premium service”) provided by Lang-8, Inc. (hereinafter “the company”). By using the premium service, the user is assumed to have agreed to the Premium Service Terms of Use.
2. The company may alter the Premium Service Terms of Use at its own discretion without prior consent from registered users who use the premium service (hereinafter “premium users”), provided it has decided there are reasonable grounds to do so.
3. The modified Premium Service Terms of Use shall take effect at such time as they are displayed on this website, except in cases stipulated separately by the company. Moreover, once the modifications to the Premium Service Terms of Use have taken effect, premium users who make use of the premium service are assumed to have agreed to the modified Premium Service Terms of Use.

2. Definitions

All terminology used in the Premium Service Terms of Use shall be defined identically to the terminology used in the HiNative Terms of Use, except when defined separately in the Premium Service Terms of Use.

3. Paid Membership

1. To use the premium service, the user shall perform paid membership registration.
2. Users who wish to perform paid membership registration shall agree to the HiNative Terms of Use and the Premium Service Terms of Use before performing the registration process as prescribed by the company.
3. The company shall conduct the necessary examination of the application contents (including credit card number) provided in accordance with the process mentioned in the preceding paragraph, and the company shall be assumed to have made a statement of intent approving the premium user’s application at such time that the premium user becomes able to use the premium service. Furthermore, if the application contents are found to be deficient following the results of the examination of the application contents, paid membership may not be approved at the company’s discretion.

4. Usage Fee

1. The premium service usage fee is as stipulated separately.
2. The company may modify the premium service usage fee without obtaining the prior consent of premium users at the company’s own discretion. However, said modifications shall not be effective retroactively. Additionally, should a premium user not consent to said modifications, they shall cancel their premium service within a prescribed period of time, and should said period of time elapses without cancellation of the service, they shall be assumed to have agreed to said modifications.
